I have visited this winery twice, the first time in January 2007. The tasting room is a rustic (but well maintained) barn with high vaulted ceilings and lots of light. One of the coolest features is the restroom which has walls “wallpapered” with corks.
The wines are quite good. I bought wine both times I visited and was most impressed by the Cabs and cab blends. On my second visit I was with my husband and he really loved their wines. We bought multiple bottles on that visit, including a Merlot ($39), Meritage blend of Merlot and Cab ($44) and the Estate Cab ($48). I would visit this winery again.
Downsides? None regarding the tasting but the wines are somewhat pricey for those looking to buy wine. Relative to other Cabs at this quality level made in Napa, they are not overpriced, but for those new to wine they are expensive. Regardless, I recommend a visit to the tasting room.
