Located in the picturesque Santa Lucia Highlands, Paraiso has gorgeous views and an adorable, welcoming tasting room.  We tried quite a few wines and really liked many of them.

Paraiso Winery

Like many wineries in the area, the focus is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, however, their portfolio has some interesting additional varietals too.  We tasted two Chards ($18 – $35), an 08 Riesling ($16), two Pinots ($25 & $40), the 05 Syrah ($45) and the 08 Irie Zinfandel (made by a different winemaker $30).  My favorite was the Zin.

Downsides?  None.  Beautiful setting, lovely wines at reasonable prices.
